I have aquired a 1995 SL 320 and although the seats all work when the doors are open they doin't work when the doors are closed or whentravelling along. Any ideas--do they need resetting??

They should work whatever the door position. I would say you have a connection in the loom somewhere that is breaking when you close the door.

Hi,
If the 129 is wired the same as a W202 (very likely), the seats should work with the keys out of the ignition with either front door open, shut the doors they will stop working till the ignition is switched on and then they,ll work all the time.
On a W202 this might be caused by one of two fuses blowing, or a faulty seat relay.
Have a look in your fuse box for fuses allocated for Comfort Control and seat control (maybe worded slightly different).
