HELP!
I'm trying to adjust headlights ready for a trip to France.
Contacted dealer already who said its either on computer menu - it isn't.
Or it's only possible at a dealer via a plug in computer - surely not as if I can't do it myself & am driving at night here & France on the same day then it reduces night visibility!
Or it's a lever that can be switched behind the headlight. If it is I can't find it!
Can anyone help? If its a lever where is it - are there any photos on this site to help.
Thanks.

That's amazing in only 2 hours, but no one seems to know how to adjust it yet.
Is it really that hard to change the headlights for French driving in a Mercedes!!!

On my R320CDi with standard halogen lights there's a little lever visible once cover removed.

Yes it really can be that hard. Some have a little lever just adjacent to the bulb. Others do not. Neither of ours do ,perhaps because they are xenons, so we resort to beam benders stuck on the lights. Not great but easy to do.
When I was on the shuttle last time I took the 124 back to Italy the guy behind me had a C70 volvo. He popped the lights out forwards. Pushed a lever across and all was done. 10 minutes for both. Why can't they all be that easy?

On my recently owned W211 the Bi-Xenons had a lever at the back of the unit which flattens the beam rather than changing from left to right; its difficult to get to and move! Not sure that all Bi-Xenons are like this?
My CLS halogen lights do not seem to have anything, nothing in the handbook and I could not see any sign of a lever in the rear of the light units.
So on my recent trip, I stuck some black tape on the lights where I thought was suitable, not sure if it did any good but it looked as though I had done the right thing and might deter the French fuzz from pulling me over. Never got flashed by a froggie driver though!

Thanks for the replies.
I've had another look for the mysterious 'lever' people have mentioned but I just can't find it.
Looks like I'll have to guess with some black tape, but it's not really what I expected to have to do with a merc!
