Car
ML63
Hi,
I'm new around here - just picked up an 2008/58 ML63 last week.

The car is amazing but the running boards spoil the appearance of teh car as they are oxidised/corroded. I have read various threads on the web on the subject but unaware if anyone has successfuly had these replaced by MB under warranty?
My car is just under 3 years old and been dealer serviced each year.
Thanks for any help or advice you can offer.

was that the black 1 that was at doncaster?if you have bought it from a dealer then you can have a word with them they might do it under goodwill.
i had a ml63 and the wheels in the centre had corroded which they changed under the warranty.
put some pics up when you get a chance does yours have the 21'amg wheels?

I would have asked them to sort it as part of the deal?

As it is take it back and have a word while you have not had it long and before the salt / winter sets in. See what they offer to do? Could you post a pic of the damage?

As aside it must be a great truck I had a weedy ML350 in comparison but loved it and even that went ok :) what sort of mpg does it do though? Mine was teens to twentys.

6.6mpg around town was the worst i ever had :eek:but it was worth every penny:thumb:.
i think average was about 13-15.

Yes it was the one from Doncaster - do you know the car?
I'm going in to MB Glasgow to let them take a look tomorrow.....
Either way, I'm expecting MB to resolve this as Doncaster admitted it wasn't right before I bought the car and agreed to support the Warranty Claim if necessary...

no dont know of the car but was looking at it before i managed to get 1 with the 21' alloys mine is also in black with black i have just had it lowered to give it a meaner look to it just waiting to have my plate put on it then i will post some pics of it.
what do you think of the ml63?

If you're not happy, talk to them, if MB won't do it under warrenty, see if the dealer will do it under under goodwill, you have just spent a lot of money with them and will be taking your car there to be serviced etc for years to come.........

If they refuse, check if theres a buy back clause. The dealer i workd at had a 3month (i think) period whereby if the customer had a problem and wasn't happy with the fix, the company had to buy the car back off of them.

Good news is that MB Glasgow have agreed to replace running boards under warranty.
Rear Entertainment fitted and DAB radio it has almost every optional extra fitted so as they say at McDonalds... I'm Lovin' It !

Nice to hear a bit of good news for a change.:thumb:
