Come on guys, wrongly worded advert on e-bay shouldnt lead to your name and company all over a web forum should it?

Only my opinion but I would say time to leave the guy alone.

Just got to say though ,there are some good profilers on here. fancy working for the cps to solve all those unsolved stuff ?

It's man bags at dawn!

I appreciate it's a free country and that folks are at liberty to comment on this ebay ad...but that's done now. This has been going on all day!

I would have little sympathy for them if I would be sure that actually that company is behind the ad. If that were the case, I'd see no reason not to expose them.

However, what concerns me is that he link between the ebay poster and the company seems to me unproven beyond a reasonable doubt (well at least with the info I have) at this point. So, I am concerned about the possibility of shooting at the wrong target.

However, I have no problem saying again that the ebay ad poster brought it all onto himself and should therefore just take it on the chin.

If its not them, then the company gets more click in a day than its ever had, which is not a bad thing for them is it?

The point being that there are many possible reasons for that van being there, and not all of those reasons imply the van owner is the car owner/seller.

I'd prefer to err on the side of caution.

I just asked him about the "after Market Wheels"

Heres his reply

"I'm going to be really honest with yer mate .........

YOU KNOW what it is & I KNOW what it is but if I can squeeze a few more hundred quid outta the muppetts on here then wouldn't you do the same????

With 184K on the clock I'll be lucky if I get 1750 for it, its bin sitting in me drive fer 2 months (since I bought a 4x4 & its gotta go (grief for her in doors !!!)

I must admit I was pissin meself laughin at some of the comments on MB .......

Have a good day Matey ....don't work too hard."
Seems like an honest enough, and nice enough response to me.

You can't blame them for trying, as long as somebody doesn't part with the cash under false pretences.

Like others have mentioned, they may have more success if it was advertised as a straight good-condition car. I wish them luck with the sale regardless.

I stand by my earlier comments though regarding the options - I actually laughed out loud when I read them last night.

You are right. He could have been fixing his heating
