W202 C250 Sport Lowering

if you look in the thread 'all w202 owners' or something, there's a c230k sport dropped by 40 that looks just right height wise. in rover trophy blue.

If you lower that much without changing the shocks the ride will be horrific.

Also the shocks can sometimes leak after a car is lowered.

I don't think it is that low its just the wheels make it look lower, there must be some one here dropped on standard wheels?

still cant decide 40/40 or 50/50 i just dont want to spend £150 for it to look that same , has anyone chopped the front and put some other pig tailed springs on the rear like VW t4's etc do ? they put calibra/cavalier lowering rears springs on them as the propper ones are mad money:confused:

i just fitted a set of eibach springs on my C240 sport

You've got a choice between either
a) spend your money and do a proper job with a proper set up
b) do a bodged job by 'chopping' or buying lesser quality springs which will result in
c) buying the correct set up anyways and more money outlayed for not listening

Olly (BlackC55) is a specialist in MBs and has a particular interest in performance mods. If you choose not to listen to what he and others say and want to skimp on a proper set up your ride and handling will be crap to say the least.
