 Ironic really, just the day after I fitted the AMG Styling 1's to my bro-in-laws car he was involved in an accident.

Yesterday, he was rear-ended exiting a motorway slip road and pushed into the car in front.

Haven't seen the damage yet, but there's a hole in the front bumper, rear bumper severley damaged, boot lid damaged and apparently the spare wheel well is buckled :(

Didn't sound too bad when he described it, but if the boot floor is damaged then I guess it may be more severe than it looked...

Will try to get some post accident pics, but we're thinking it may get written off, so I may be removing the wheels earlier than expected. Now I'm glad I hadn't sold the original set of wheels (yet!).

Keep you all posted....

Different wheels

Be aware that the insurance company may be "awkward" if your brother hasn't informed them about the change of wheels since they sometimes regard this and body kit mods as a heighten'd insurance risk!! Time to take a detailed look at the policy document. Just something to be aware of.;)

They're aware of them, no price change as they're AMG / Original equipment.

Get on ebay and buy a set of wheels with 'legal' tyres asap.

Time to go to the garage where the car is being stored and put the old wheels back on ;)

I'm sorry for this!:( Hope that all will be solved asap:)

Hmmm, well I've still got the original wheels.

The car is still driveable. I was intending on swapping the wheels back (just in case they decide to write it off - hopefully not!). I don't think the AMG's will make much difference to the insurance value.

I guess it's not their property until they make an offer...

until the cheque clears!

True, although this discussion is academic until we know what the state of the car is...
