Dear Mechanical experts
The leak from my diff output shaft on my C250TD is getting worse
, so I have finally got to get on and fix it, so I need to know if I need any special tools to do it, I assume that I unbolt the drive shaft, then unbolt the bearing carrier from the diff housing, then dismantle the shaft to change the seal. I have changed loads of diff seals on Jag IRS axles, but never had to do a Merc. Is is easier to drop the diff out of the subframe?
