So i bought my car and the radio had a CODE message on it, i fixed it by inputing the code from the dealership, but the radio doesn't seem to want to function.. it goes through the stations, but it won't play tape, or detect anything in the cd changer.. not even static comes out.. i checked the connections to the amp, and they were hooked up.. is it the wires?

Also, the power antenna doesn't seem to go down, its up permanently but that shouldn't effect the playing of cassette or cds should it..?

Also, i've read threads on hooking up a custom head unit with the stock bose amp, has anyone hooked up a sub to the stock amp? how does it sound..?

Hi mate, iv added a subwoofer few months back using high to low connector, these cost under 20 pounds and let you connect a bass box to your original amp with good sound quality, very easy to connect just need to connect 4 wires to speaker wires and thats it, hope this helps you.

I have wired the headunit using a VW adapter, it only allows me to wire in the power to the headunit and speakers, but it wont give me sound this way, I believe I have to send power to the AMP, its a seperate plug I havent touched, by any chance does anyone know which wires have to be given power for the amp to power up, there is a
