w202 washer and coolant lights on

cant see why both the wiper washer and coolant lights are both on all the time. both fluids full. has been like this since I bought it - almost - having gone round all the fuses, it went away for a bit, but has returned.

none of the fuses appear burnt out. everything works (except cruise control where my 2 yr old broke the stalk). door courtesy light is dim, slightly flickers.

any ideas?

Both sensors are in series, so could be either. Disconnect one and see if the error repeats..

oh - sorry - did at some point get them both off after lots of fuse fiddling, but it came back.

will check all fluids again tomorrow.

What has washer levels to do with engine coolant?

Nothing but the sensors are wired in series...

As Peter says one of these sensors failing can cause the other ones warning light to come on as it happened on my 96 C230K. In my case it was the Coolant level sensor which had failed,
