W202 Windscreen wiper stuck!

Hi there, I'm a bit new to this world so I appologise in advance for any mistakes/incorrect etiquet.

I'm not sure if this is a mechanical or bodywork question but here goes anyway!

My windscreen wiper arm on my '95 w202 is stuck in the extended position ie. it still does the sweep let to right but no longer goes up and down, if that makes any sense. It happened over a few weeks, gradually getting worse until it stuck fully. Lubrication doesn't help (WD40, silicin spray etc.)
Does anyone out there know whats going on and what the fix is? I currently have an 18" blade on to stop it hitting the bodywork at the sides!

Thanks alot, could be just what I'm after! I'd already searched for wiper problems, but they all seemed to be about wipers not parking properly or coming to a complete halt.

Off to try out that fix from the quality link now. I'd take some pics but digi cameras a bit pants, need to sort out a new one!
