w202 Wiper mechanism

Hi guy's,

Here's my first post! Does any one know how easy it is to replace the Wiper mechanism on my T202? The wiper keeps getting stuck against the side of the wind screen, I've tried to grease the mechanism but to no avail.

When I asked the stealership in Nottingham they said you can just buy the linkage for £27 is this right or is the parts guy talking out of his out hole?

I was quoted 4 times that from a Merc specialist, needless to say I didn't go with it.

Is someone not breaking a w202 on here.
Enquire about the mechanism.
£27 is way too cheap for that mechanism

Thanks guys. I've tried greasing it as per the excellent how to, didn't work, I expect the nylon gears have gone. I'm less keen on buying the bits second hand as I just forked out over £40 for a wiper switch and managed to get the wrong one :-(

Thanks for that, already tried this chap, he does have the part at a fair price, but my recent experiance of buying the wrong bits secondhand have put me off, think I might prefer brand new, depending on cost of course.
