W203 220CDI Air Filter Box

Hi,

Whilst changing the air filter today I took off the air filter box to clean it & noticed a small maybe 20mm dia outlet pipe at the rear bottom of the box, so when it's bolted in position this outlet pipe would be directly above the cat. What is this outlet pipe for & should there be a rubber pipe connected so as to prevent any oil or deposits falling on to the cat ??

Found this hole myself today on w210 e220 air box no pipe connected .checked around and apparently it's for an air cleaner drain . Should this be present or just something only on certain models .
