Hello all
After some advice if possible
I have a Merc C220 CDi Coupe on a 53 plate - I have been having issues with acceleration and the car going into limp mode under heavy acceleration which has been diagnosed as being related to the CAT - Now I have been advised to remove them both but someone suggested breaking up and removing the inside elements of the one under the hood (in the engine bay) and cutting out the back/central one completely. (Sorry probably not the most technical explanation but hopefully you get me!)
My question is - would taking the one under the car out effect my car when its due for MOT?
Getting confused with differing opinions
so any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have only had the car a few month, love it but dont fancy putting a new cat in it if I can avoid doing so!
