Hi,

Hope somebody can help I have bought a COMAND APS unit from Ebay, I know probably not a good move, the unit has installed okay replacing my Audio 20. Fortunately it is working okay the only issue is the language is italian or something I don't know.

Is it possible to change it if so how do you do it.

Fantastic I now have an english unit many thanks.

I also have another issue when I push the Audio button it does not show the CDC soft button. I have installed an Dension Gateway 500 unit. Do I have to have it configured by Mercedes with the Star Diagnostic unit?

when you press the audio button - does it not show the radio or aux options?

on my 209 - the aux then selects the ipod interface (although this is an MB ipod unit)

The Dension Gateway 500 replaces the CD Changer and the instructions tell you to use the CDC soft button but I do not have this as the car never had a CD Changer.

If it needs reconfiguring does anybody know someone in the RM11 Hornchurch area who can do the configuration.

Needs coding.
Your cluster will need coding also to show the navigation arrows.

Anyone with Star, including the local Mercedes dealer should be able to do this.

If you fancy a trip to Woking, speak to Alfie (PM him on the forum, or find a post by him and follow his signature)

They should:
In AGW do the Initial Startup sequence (which will code the MOST ring and check if AGW needs a flash update - AGW is part of the COMAND)
In Instrument Cluster, in coding, enable navigation

Comand aps installed - happy!!!!

Arranged to meet with Alfie....he installed the Comand unit, added a few extras on the OBC..all with a smile.

All works perfectly...the guy's a GENIUS!!! Definitely recommended...
