W203 Rain Sensor retrofit ?

I took off my light sensor cover in the W203. I was able to observe the light sensor and another location in the windscreen with 4 blue light pipes and what looked like a metal backing plate in the form of a base suitable for clipping inbetween the light pipes. So it more or less looked like a cradle for the sensor to sit in.

Does anyone here have a before and after for the W203 rain sensor photos. I am interested in what other people have inside their W203.

I am still interested to see an image even if you dont have it installed.

My C32 AMG has the automatic rain sensors and they can be a bit erratic. Sometimes they'll start for no apparent reason on a perfectly dry day...and they always do an initial sweep on start up. Strangely, the rear wiper doesn't work automatically and, I guess like all W203s, has an independent switch on the dash.

I must admit, however (like with the automatic headlights) it's a nice gimmick to impress new passengers with!
