As above - any suggestions as to where it could be coming from? I've checked that the drainage holes on the scuttle under the wipers are clear.

Other possible culprits are:

Leaking windscreen seal - has the windscreen been replaced in the past?
Faulty door seals
Leaking sunroof seal (if you have one)
Leaking heater matrix - do you also have coolant lose? coolant smell in the cabin?
(On some cars there is a rubber plug hole at the bottom of the floor, which can leak, though I don't think MBs have them)

I have the same problem in mine, but where do i start checking the heater matrix?

If the heater matrix is leaking you will have some coolant lose in the header tank, plus possibly coolant ('antifreeze') smell in the cabin.

So it's a matter of checking all the hoses inside the car for leaks, taking out bits of the dash, glove box etc.?

Depending on the specific model, it is usually a case of removing the entire dash to gain access the heater matrix and find the exact source of the leak... it could be a hose, but it could also be the heater matrix itself.

But first you need to establish that it is actually coolant that you have in your car, not rainwater....
