Hi all, this is my first post as a new (secondhand) Benz owner!

I have a C class W204 with a type 651 engine. One of the seven torx bolt/screws that hold the air filter housing in place is missing. My local dealership says they are not available separately so does anyone know where I can source these or what viable alternative I should use? Many thanks for reading.

Think youd have to pull one out and try screwfix or similar for a match on length and thread. Id not be bothered tbh 1 missing wont affect the car.

They arnt meant to come out btw. Think theres a sort of circlip or something holds them in. Youll see when you get the tools out.

Thanks for reply. They do indeed have to be removed for air filter replacement. The clips (I think) you are referring to are the ECU wiring harness clips which must also be removed during air filter replacement.

I know that . Ive recently changed mine. I should of worded it better. The screws unscrew to allow the airfilter box top to be removed. But the screws are meant to stay in the top and not come out completely...

I see what you mean. Don't suppose you've got one going spare?

I think if i did. Id of mentioned it and not babbled on.
