W204 Airbag Malfunction?? Warning light

A month a go or so it only appeared once , now it comes up and goes of randomly a few times a day. What's the problem people? Any ideas? Bad sensor? Thanks

If its not airbag related it could be seat occupancy sensor related- thats a sensor mat under the seat squab you sit on which tells the system you are there. They are subject to wear and known to give trouble.

I wonder if you share the car with your wife or girlfriend,I had this a few years ago it was the drivers seat being moved a lot back and forwards had losened a connection underneath,failing that get it on a star,hopefully it will be the sensor in the seat that has given up.

I took mine to mb for the check which lasted all of 10 minutes.

Hi all I've got the same problem diagnostics say it the seat belt

So it has been dealt with. I took it to evans halshaw where I got it from as its under warranty, with all the faults I had with light wipers power steering blowers and all that going off, it turned out to be the seat belt buckle what had a fault on it. It has been 5 days since its been changed and no problems yet. The pre tensioner doesn't work but no warnings so I aren't bothered
