HI all. Checked my C180 CGI oil level for first time in a month the other day. Has done a few thousand miles since last check (when it was full) also driven it "hard" a few times and its showing about half level on the dip-stick now. Is this much oil consumption normal on an engine thats done 45k miles? No signs of any obvious leak and all levels are checked on an engine cold and level.
Im guessing there is not much difference in level between min and max on these perhaps a litre? but just wanted to check. Also I'm having trouble finding the correct grade of oil to top up with? Next service will not be till the end of september.
