W204 rear brake pads

Hi all, first time poster to the forum, so please be gentle with me as I ask for some advice.

I have just changed the front pads and discs on my 2008 c220 cdi 170 and now want to start with the rear. My question is, do I require a special tool to remove the rear calipers? I'm thinking its a male torx but not entirely sure.

Any assistance much appreciated.

Hello mate.
Best way to find out is stick your head underneath and have a look or even jack car up.....then you'll know for sure.

Every Mercedes I've ever worked on just had normal15mm (I think) bolts holding em on, and that's pretty much everything from 107's to 129's to 203's to 140's. Don't recall any fancy bolts holdin calipers on.
