Long time, no post for me ...

I've just replaced my 2012 (W204) C250 CDI Coupe with a 2016 (W25) C250d Estate and had a set of alloys with winter tyres that I used to change on the Coupe myself.

Couple of questions ...

1) will these wheels fit the new car?

2) as aI have the tyre repair kit, I'm assuming theres no jack in there?

3) if 'yes' to point 1) and 'no' to point 2), is there a cost effective jacking solution eg trolley jack and where would the jacking points for a trolley jack be?

Apologies for the multiple questions but I hope you get the jist of the query.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Presumably your winter alloys are 17 inch? The question will be whether they will clear the callipers on the new car, particularly those on the front and that will be determined by the ET value which is the offset from centre...or you could just try fitting them - which brings up the second point, re jacking points.

There would normally be hard rubber pads behind the front wheels on the sills and in front of the rear wheels, but I'm not sure about the 205 except that there needs to be some provision for removing the wheels during service. Check the handbook on both points.

Thanks for the feedback ... the winter alloys are 18 inch just like the 'original' wheels. This was the case on the W204 coupe and everything fitted OK.

Looks like I'll just have to buy a trolley jack and try fitting one of the wheels ... will try and do this before the snow comes :-)

I would be interested in this as I pick up my w205 Amgen line soon with the 19's but have a set of Mercedes 17" winter alloys and tyres that I have been using on my w204 amg line. The dealer stated they would fit but have little confidence.

I have a set of 16" winter wheels from my W204, these replaced the 18" wheels in winter. The wheels do indeed fit the W205 - HOWEVER - you will need tyre pressure sensors mounting on the new wheels otherwise you will get continuous warnings on the dash telling you that pressure monitors cant be detected. Also looking at the position where the valve mounts on the rim the valve mount could also be different as the valve is secured with a nut, my reponse was to buy a new set direct from Germany, anybody want a set of 16" alloys with all season tyres to fit the W204 (all wheel sizes)?

Is there no way of disabling the tyre pressure monitoring when running winter wheel?

And when you say 'continuous warnings' ... do you mean once per trip or every few minutes?

16" don't fit on my 2011 c220 Sport they hit the front calipers...
18" fitted on mine had to get 17s for winter

Del80y - Mine where a 2010 C220 Sport followed by a 2012 Sport plus, both with 18" wheels, the 16" alloys with the winter tyres fitted both, steel wheels however would never fit.

mjm2705 - The 'Contuinuous' warnings occured every few minutes with a bong and dash display, quickly became very irritating as the dash display remained on the warning screen.

Been looking a little deeper into TPMS ... minefield!

Look like I have the following options:

1) find out how to buy & fit OEM pressure sensors to my alloys I used on my W204 (anyone with experience on sourcing / fitting sensors?)

2) source new wheels with sensors already fitted and sell the existing set (any recommendations on supplier?)

3) wing it with the existing winter wheel and deal with the alarms / warnings

4) forget winter wheels and just don't drive the car when it snows!

Typically, the past 3 winters have been pretty mild ... no doubt if I choose option 4) this one will be a bad one!

Any thoughts on the above?

.

I have a set of winter steels which fit my 2013 C180 Sport no problem; not a lot of clearance with the larger discs / calipers but fit and listed as an option by MB.

If anybody needs the ET value, I can let them have it.

I meant16" steel wheels would never fit!

Mine are 16 inch and they fit my C180 Sport with the larger discs at the front.

As I said, not a lot of clearance and many have said they don't fit, but Mine have been OK; will depend on the ET value, though.

The dealer that is storing my winter wheels has confirmed that the offset is different between the w204 and w205 so I will not be able to use the wheels on the new car! So time to order some more. I cannot see any details for the mercedes wheels does anyone have a link?

Bought these for my W205, much cheaper than MB who list the same in the accessories brochure, said delivery was in 30 days, they arrived in 5!

Did these come with bolts? Site seems to say that fitting kit price is separate but then doesn't seem to cover that cost anywhere!

I see they are 79kg so I'm assuming shipping costs of 49.90 Euro?

Total about £950?

The wheels do not come with bolts as the standard wheel bolts are the correct length, had no problems with mine, dont forget that they are genuine MB wheels, no need for the 'fitting kit'. If the current rate gives you a cost of £950 they are a better bargain, mine cost around £1100 last feb, when I priced the same wheels from MB they where in the region of £1700! They do not come with with centre caps but you can swap the caps over from your standard wheels. Delivery charge is the higher figure unfortunately, mine arrived on a pallet

I bit the bullet and ordered new wheels with tyres & TPMS sensors from mytyres.com ... due in the next week or so.

Winter complete wheel for MERCEDES-BENZ C-Klasse C 250 (Type 204 207bhp) 1991cc Bolt circle 5/112, Rim itWheels GABRIELLA crystall silber lackiert 8.0 x 18 (LK 5/112, OS 45), RDKS Schrader OEM 3013,

Given that the new car didn't come with any wheel change kit, can I check that I will be able to use a standard trolley jack and wheel brace?

I had heard something about the wheel bolt profile and jacking points not being standard?

How did you get on with the tyre sensors I guess you needed to get them programmed in at the dealer? Did the ones from mytyres work out ok?

I have a C250d (AMG sport) estate as well and want to get set up for winter just trying to unravel the mine field of TPMS and figure out what wheel size to go for considering mine are staggered wheels.

Thanks for your help!
