Hi All,
Can anyone help, I have a W208 320 CLK and the check engine light doesn't appear to work.
I have never really paid any attention before but my car started having hot start problems and after a friend lent me his scan tool I found that I had a misfire codes but no check engine light present.
The owners manual says it should come on briefly at ignition but it doesn't do this.
I cleared all the faults then instigated another fault by pulling of the Air Mass Meter plug whilst engine running, the scan tool picked this up but again no check engine light.
I removed the instrument cluster and checked the lamp which is good, I even replaced it with the one for the srs light which does come on at ignition. I have checked all possible fuses I can find but all are good.
Any ideas as I am confused???
