Hi All,

My CLK's roof works fine but needs the rear cover pushing down lightly to fully close as part of the roof lowering cycle.

Is there any adjustment that can be made to the roof to stop this happening? Once the roof has been done once in a day it is fine its just if it is not used for a week or two the roof just will not complete its cycle without me having to push the rear cover panel down.

I do recognise that this is not the end of the world but with the summer coming.... :D

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Is it an adjustment or is the panel sticking because it requires lubrication? Or has something come adrift in the operating mechanism?

maybe the canvas has become stiff and is not packing down as tight as it should when closed.

Thanks for the replies. I think I have to take a complete back to basics approach of cleaning and lubrication rather than looking for a quick fix. I have not really paid much attention to the roof really and it probably does need a good clean and lube up.

I noticed that the fold back is not as smooth as it should be (it almost stalls then jerks back into life) so it could well be a case of I need to get out there and give it a good clean.

Fun job for the weekend!

Cheers,

Alan
