I'm sorry to drag this up again but I've tried this twice and lost all hope of figuring it out now...
So the CD changer in my w209 has somehow lost its magazine (found its a common problem with the Alpine 6 CD changers and am more than happy to open it up to fix/adjust the worm gear).
Problem is, I have the CD holder next to it and the aux port which both need to come out first. I've read about 10 guides on this and still can't figure out how to remove the AUX port or feel the push clips under the CD holder.
Can someone please explain the process of removing these two components in as basic terms as possible?
Also if I need hooks to pull the holder out would these Halfords ones work? The holder won't be going back in so I'm not fussed if I destroy it in the process.
I'm at my wits end on this and really want to fix it over the Christmas break.
