I've noticed when, for example, going round a roundabout a rotational squeaking/squealing that sounds like squeaky brakes on the disc. It's not brakes because I'm not using them but it has that wheel turning sound to it. Stops as soon as I straighten the steering wheel.

Sorry for the rubbish description but any ideas?

Thanks for the suggestion you two :thumb:

I'll have to get it on ramps to investigate that. But wouldn't it be rubbing and making the noise all the time? After posting I left work and did a couple of town roundabouts with the window cracked open a little. As a description only, it sounds just like pads rubbing unevenly on discs and then disappears as soon as I straighten up. Can't say I've noticed it turning left but I'm going to pay a little more attention tomorrow.

I'll drive to France to go round a roundabout the other way.

The easy test is to take the park brake up a couple of clicks to tension the cable. I seem to remember that the noise goes away if you turn left ? I have clips in stock ready for the next time mine needs doing.

Bought the clips. Going to have a look this weekend. Part number is A 000 995 57 20 and £7.92 for four.

Far too tight with the car only on ramps. Leaving this to someone with a lift.
