W209 Electric Folding Mirrors

Can anyone please help

My electric folding mirrors recently stopped folding out so I took the mirror housings off and cleaned the motor on the drivers side with WD-40 which seems to turn correctly now however when I put the mirror back on the mirror still doesn't open?

Even although the motors look seperate from the housing MB have told me that they come complete at £209 +VAT the P/N is 2098100676

Is there anything else I could try?

NB the passenger side mirror was replaced about 18mths ago and is pretty new or should I also remove and check it out as well?

Take the car back to whom ever replaced the mirror, it should still be under MB warranty.

Also, remember that the wiring is prone to open circuit through abrasions...

The mirror will have a two year warranty if purchased from MB new.
