I have an E220 estate (W210 2002) great car but over the last year or so some small bubbles of rust under the paintwork have started to appear in a couple of places around the car, as well as having a few minor scratches anyway. Does anybody know of the most effective way to get these sorted out either on a DIY basis or a specalist ( I am based in the North West near Wigan) I understand (rightly or wrongly) a bodywork specalist might charge on a "per panel basis"
    Cheers

My advice would be to get rid of it fast! Only major surgery will properly sort the rust out long term, anything other sort of repair is purely short term cosmetic. I found that my 210 was going to cost best part or £3000 to sort out properly and then there were no guarantees given.
