Factory fitted phone system with radio. Externally mounted phone pod.

AFTER
-------
New navigation with replacement wood and armrest lid replaced with the phone version. UHI phone system retrofitted to the armrest using factory parts in a custom setup. AUX sound port inserted into glovebox.

I have Comand retrofitted in my CLK W208 but the same type of phone unit as in your "before" picture.

I would like a phone system that integrates with Comand but my car doesn't have the telephone pre-wiring and I have been quoted £1,200 to install a hands free system through the Comand and that is just too much

If you had in fact been lucky enough to have the factory system it could have been converted to the armrest version with almost the same tricks used here.
