W210 E300TD Engine Vibration

Should I be able to feel any engine vibration at all through the steering wheel at idle on an E300TD? If not, then I guess I need to renew some mountings. 2 x engine and 1 x transmission are obvious candidates but I've read somwhere about a steering damper. What's that? Any other mountings I should consider (assuming teh vibration is not normal)? MIne's done 77k by the way.

In the absence of any other answer, all I can tell you is there is no noticeable vibration in ours...as to solution, sorry...

Thanks Guy. I've come to the conclusion that I need to change the engine and transmission mountings. Easy enough job by the looks of it. Apparently, W210s eat mountings. Lots of evidence of this on the German and US forums. Damn, I've just missed two new mountings on e-bay
