I have fitted non oem front pads that do not have a chamfer on leading and trailing edges like the oem ones. Is this the cause of my slight judder please? I have already remounted the new discs with great care.
It is my belief that is probably wrong but I thought the chamfer was to reduce squeal.
The judder if new discs are a possiblity that the mating face (hub) is not completely flat, possibly due to a build up of rust

I have fitted MB pads with the chamfer and non-MB pads without the chamfer at different times to W210s.
The only difference has been that the non-MB pads squealed a lot for about 2000 miles ... Although they did eventually settle down.
I've never experienced any juddering.
The squealing was a bit of a pain, and I've always fitted MB pads and discs more-recently.
