The silver one.
W210 owners im sure you have all changed your pollen filters and sworn and cursed whilst trying to get the glovebox out, or maybe its just me:D

So this time i decided to sort it out once and for all, clearer on the pics but basically what is stopping the box coming out is a lug either side on the top of the box, i trimmed this down with a stanley knife, and it still holds in place nicely but removal is now a doddle.

Cant see it rattling as its held with 6 screws.

Filters were 15 mths old and not actually that bad.

In the second photo is the scratched area where you have cut off the lug??

No thats where i dropped it on the driveway:doh:

All i have done to the lug is given it more or a ramp instead of the square edge.

Just playing with the pics and presto, see something else i have learnt today.

Also note: These filters are for climate controll rather than regular AC.

I didnt know that, i thought all w210 had these and climate also had the extra 2 under the dash?
But both the 210,s we have had, have both had climate so perhap ill keep my mouth shut:D

The other two are active carbon. I have them also.

Got my last twocharcoal jobbies from the usa cheaper than the uk incl postage! then found out nick did them for the same price:)

Its because for some reason when your personal stash of pics fills up you have to delete some to clear space and this unfortunately dumps the pics once and for all:doh:
