I need to change the dark-coloured trims at the sides of the front and rear windows of one of our W210 E-Class cars.
Rust is breaking out on two of them and looks unsightly.
See photo.
Two cross-head screws can be seen on the edges of the panels when you open the front door.
However, there are rubber seals at the top and bottom of the panel.
The rubber seal at the edge of the window glass also appears to be attached in some way.
Do they simply lift off when the screws are removed ?
Are there any tricks to this ?
I don't want to commence the job and wish I'd never started.
Any words of guidance will be much appreciated.
I can't imagine why they should ever go rusty in the first place !!
