What options do you want on them? Dimming/folding/memory?

Little bit off topic, but mrfiepro who did your headrests for you??

hi shude!

well the mirrors are going on a w210 prefacelift which has dimming, folding, heating.

The blinking mirrors though are only folding / heating, and not dimming (does dimming have the yellow glass??) Should I have a look at the pins on the mirrors and see which ones are there??
thanks

you should wire up the car side to include the dimming wires, part numbers are all over this site, best to search, also on www.club202.com, theres a thread on there with nearly all the parts you will need.

hi alps

thanks for the mail. Im just thinking, wouldnt that be the part numbers for a w202 though? The mirrors are going on a w210 prefacelift.

Why would it be necessary to connect the dimming up, if the mirrors dont have that feature??

thanks again... just cant find the part numbers or am I just daft..!

exactly the same parts needed!

202 has the same mirror and plugs\pins as the pre-facelift 210!

hope that helps a bit!

okay im just lost now.... :(

The mirrors I have, have the rectagular connectors on them, so would the w210 prefacelift '(99) have a similar connector on the 'car' side?

Great thing is all the wires are black aswell, so im just looking at the pins seeing what I have... these are off a UK car.

RHD CAR:
near side (passenger) pins: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 & 13,14
off side (driver) pins : 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 & 13,14,15,16

So I have electric folding, dimming, heated mirrors (facelift)?
which is exactly what I have on the W210 but in prefacelift form of course.

BIM MERC,

facelift model will have the square plug - yes.
pre-facelift will have rectagle and round plug (usually stuck together as one big plug)

you have 2 extra pins on the drivers side for the dimming (as this is only on the drivers side)

I am planning to carry out this mod on my w202 at some point in the near future (if I get the covers swapped for ones in the right colour ;) ). It is probably possible to order the wiring with the connectors already attached, although it would be an expensive mod it would certainly be oem and probably quite easy to carry out. I will try to find out which parts are required.

cheers alps....sorry 4 being daft :(

i think im getting somewhere now...! so would i be okay in getting the rectangular plug replacement for the car side, to do the job??

But some of the pins need swapping round or your mirror control switch works in reverse ;)

doesnt that only apply if you are fitting LHD mirrors to a RHD car??

I bought Sym's old mirrors from his 202.
They were the facelift ones for a 210, but (as mentioned earlier in this thread), the pins were swapped to 202 for him.
I plugged them into my car and they were going every which way but the right way.
Took me a while to sort them out ;)
