Hi guys,

Starting to think about new wheels for my E class. I know I would prefer a chunky concaved five spoke but not sure whether to go 19 or 20". I don't want it to become uncomfortable so if 20's are too harsh I'll give it a miss.

Hoping to get some opinions and maybe pics. Tyre sizes and offsets would be good too.

Thanks

Jon

These are 19"s on my previous E Class.

They are CLS wheels (AMG III) with a 25F/28R offset making them protrude that bit further - straight on, no spacers, longer bolts

Dished too :thumb:.

Sheepy67 put some 20's on his - a search should find his thread.

They are the best wheels for the 211. Great car John.

That's exactly the look I want. Sounds like an easy fit too which is nice! Thank you for the pics, looks lovely :)

I'll do a search for Sheepy67 now.

Thanks

Jon

Hmmm, 20's look good too. Decisions decisions lol.

How was the ride on the 19's?

Fine, though the car was on Airmatic, which helped.

20's are overkill on the W211.
Tyres become very expensive and ride suffers a lot.

I've got 19s on mine and I think they fill the arches nicely. Had 20s on my last couple of (Non Merc) cars and they were fine, though I think it's the profile which affects the ride and not the diameter. 30% on the rear, 35% front on mine, same as my Jag on 20".

Merc doesn't seem as harsh as the Jag though.

Def go 20's In fact a set of Cades Ixion 20's are in the for sale section... (shameful plug)

I do want to keep some comfort so it seems 19's are the way to go.

Cheers guys, any pics if different wheels appreciated ;)

I was going to go for some 19s but I stuck with the 18s after lowering the car.

The 18s filled the arches better once lowered.
