My c220cdi is heading for its second service, it says it is a D service. As it will be 2 yrs old a month or two later I asked if brake fluid change is needed. As I expected this was confirmed, but I was shocked at the price which is 3 times what I have ever paid before. They say it is due to electro mechanical braking and the extra fluid and time needed. Has any one else had this experience?

How much are they chargeing?
My CLK was £85 when it was done.

Its normally around £200 on a 211 with SBC brakes. Takes a long time apparently........

Yup. Mine was £180 with a bit of grovelling (on my part) discount

The quote was in the area of £180 apparently takes loads of fluid and approx 1.5 hrs.

Have you tried an independent? As far as I'm aware you don't need to get items such as brake fluid changes done at a main delaer to upkeep full MBSH - on my 06-plate C180K I got front brake pads (bigger 'sports pack' pads) and brake fluid changed for around £170, OEM parts, labour and VAT included, local main dealer wanted double!
