W211 E220 CDI 2004 "Service Brake, ABS and ESP Defective Visit Workshop" malfunctions

Hi there,
In the past 2 weeks, I am getting the following 3 malfunctions appearing on the dash at the same time:

1. Service Brake,
2. ABS Defective - Visit workshop,
3. ESP Defective - Visit workshop

An ABS warning light is also illuminating on the dash.

These may appear while I am driving along and if I stop the car, turn off and on the ignition again, they will disappear. A couple of days later, the malfunctions appear again.

Has anyone any ideas of where I might start checking?

It needs to be plugged into a Star to see what is going on. Otherwise it's guesswork

I had similar symptoms which, combined with heavy low-speed steering and no cruise control made me assume an ABS sensor had gone bad. Olly confirmed it was indeed the case and replaced it.

As said get the codes read.

Brake light switch
Abs sensor
Sbc unit

Are common issues.

Once you get it plugged in it will be much easier knowing codes. Just done mine turned out to be the abs tone ring on osr. £10 from dealer not easy to fit

The problem was the right rear wheel sensor.
