Driving me crazy but doesn't really warrant the inconvenience of having to take it to the garage, so I hope someone can help.
The load cover on my W211 Estate clips into two channels at the rear of the car and when the tailgate is opened, the load cover is raised up and out of the way by a motor.
When the load cover reaches it's final position, the motor keeps whirring and clanking loudly away from both sides of the car for approx 20 seconds.
I've tried not attaching the load cover, but the motor still goes off when I open the tailgate. I've tried taking out the fuse, but then the rear wiper doesn't work.
Anyone had a similar problem?
