Morning all,

I hope someone can advise. Not sure what has triggered it, but the drivers window has stopped returning to the closed position after you close the door. It drops down the 0.5" as usual when you open the door, but fails to return after closing the door. The only way I have managed to close the window when leaving the car is by holding down the alarm set button on the remote.

Any ideas???:dk:

Sounds like the door modual might be on its way out. These are a fairly easy swap once you get the door card off.

Have you tried resetting the window glass up and down postions to see if that helps?

Hi KillerHERTZ,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I haven't tried the reset, is it just operating the window full open and full close a few times???

What about the pin switch for that door ?

When i have the door open I can operate the window drop and raise with the pin switch on my W219.

Kenny

Hi KennyN,

Sorry mate, you're talking above my pay grade now!

What and where is the 'pin switch'?

Had the same issue at the weekend done a window reset which solved the problem :thumb:

Excellent alzieboy,

Can you confirm the window reset procedure please?

Cheers

If a side window can no longer be closed fully, you must reset it.

Close all doors.

Turn the key to position 1 or 2 in the ignition lock.

Pull the corresponding switch on the door control panel until the side window is completely closed. more

Hold the switch for an additional second.

If the side window opens again slightly:

Immediately pull the corresponding switch on the door control panel until the side window is completely closed more.

Hold the switch for an additional second.

If the corresponding side window remains closed after the button has been released, the side window has been reset correctly. If this is not the case, repeat the steps above again.

This was for my E Coupe

did this procedure work? useful to know in case needed :)

Well I don't know what happened, but when I got back to my car after work the issue seemed to have resolved itself???

I will keep the window reset advice close to hand, as I suspect I haven't seen the last of that gremlin!!

Thanks to everyone that offered help and advice, much appreciated.

I'd still do the reset process, takes less than a min and does no harm.

Finding that my window does this quite often and needs reseting. The one touch operation stops working aswell.

Anyone got a link to the correct module or how to for replacing it?
