Hi, I have a problem with the battery, I do not know what happened but after a few hours of stopping the battery is completely dead and I can not open the trunk. I tried a couple of hours open with the key but there is no chance. I read that I can hook up to the terminal, which is located under the feet of the passenger. I got to this place and my car looks like this:

I do not see thick red cable only thin brown. Is it just this terminal?

Thanks for the quick answer, and in that case, someone please help me and tell where I could hook up?

I think you'll find it further forwards .. should be some polystyrene and an aluminium plate... think it'll be under that.

Is there not a terminal under the bonnet (hood) like most mercedes?
It may be under a plastic cover which usually just flips open. Cover could be red or black.

Edit: Just Googled it and evidently there isn't a terminal uner the bonnet (hood) but came across this and hope it's the correct model Merc for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb_7E-Z5D7g

If there is, it might look like below.

I dont think there is on a W220

Edited my previous post and added a video link courtesy of Google and YouTube. Hopefully the correct one :thumb:

NB. Would it be worth adding the video link to the 'How To' Forum for future reference?

Have you tried the blade key in the lock?

If that it seized, take up the passenger footwell carpet and kick plate. There is a positive terminal in there you can put 12V to.

guys, thank you but do not read, key does not work!, I have attached a file showing what I found in polystyrene and an aluminum plate, and found only negative terminal, I do not have the positive terminal

I think W220 does not have jump start terminal... try if + pole of the starter or alternator is reachable...

Have you tried the emergency key blade in the boot lock?

There is a positive terminal under the passenger kick plate.

Try removing the front fuse box. There is a positive terminal there too.
