Water/flood damaged cars

^^ And place in mind that with a self insured fleet they don't even have to record CAT D - these cars can be assessed as CAT D - get sold and repaired and the marker will never appear through DVLA etc.

I could show you pictures of loads of mercs that have 'CAT D' damage but are totally unrecorded.

Fixed and placed back on the forecourts with regular premium price tag.

Forget showing us pictures, just sell us cheap, unrecorded, cars.

A CLS 350 CDi or E300 Hybrid would be good... :)

^^ CAT B is parts that have value of £50 only - ( correct requirements are ) vehicle has to be dismantled and chassis crushed i.e not allowed back on the road.

I've definitely come across a Cat-B repaired car before, I'm sure of it, because I remember saying that it can't be legal that and was told by someone that there was a way around it. Something along the lines of repairing it and re-registering it as a kit car or something like that.

It's bugging me now, I'll found out for certain tomorrow.

And I'm pretty sure that it is possible to repair a Cat-B car and put it back on the road, I just can't remember the complete process. I'll find out tomorrow for sure.

Plenty of people repair cat b cars, but is a salvage company gets caught selling one to someone who goes again with it there's lots of trouble.

Lots get exported, hence all those car transpoters on foreign plates on the motorway loaded up with German cars...
