weird issue, car losses oil , help!!

Hi right my c250td is getting through about 1/4 liter oil every 3-5 days (and squirts of oil on top air pipe) car had become sluggish , driving over 80mph very scary feels as if its going to bounce off the road and real, ..
other day this idiot in a boy racer saxo was all up my ****, anyway i went to over take him in 2.5 liter 150bhp merc and the kickdown worked but the car just didnt take off had to back off, know i used my ladys 90bhp proton other night and i swear to god that was alot faster then my merc!.
So lads what up with my car think maybe turbo blown?? i cant hear a whistle of a turbo! though i know there only small on these!
and were is this oil going???
any idears people..

I am sure it would greatly assist everyone reading this if you could provide a few more details such as model, age, mileage, how long you have had it, did this problem appear suddenly or has it been getting worse over a period of time.

Oil consumption issue: what sort of mileage are you covering between top ups or is that just 3-5 days sitting on your drive. Can you be a bit more specific about "squirts of oil on top of air pipe". These cars are a plumbers nightmare at the best of times, perhaps a photo so we can tell what you are talking about? Any hints of blue smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe? What sort of engine oil have you been using?

Performance issues: see the sticky above above about lack of power on CDI although what you are describing sounds a bit more serious.

High speed handling issue: do you attribute that to chassis problems or lumpy power delivery?

Hi thanks for reply , it's a 1998 c250 TD , done 191000 miles just passed mot last week I do proberly 100-200 miles in 3-5 days, the top pipe had squirts oil on it and down below around the mount there is oil everywhere ,so maybe the turbo is squirting oil out as when I push it at 80mph feel unsafe and oil light comes on once u slow down feels safe again and light go out, is there a pipe on this model that brakes often, I had a Alfa and that had a blown pipe but smoked hard this car has no smoke blue or black, and my abs,asr,cruise ,traction don't work though no lights on!! Think this cars bit of a wired one ,only bought it last week ! I'm guessing the guy I got it off was trying to fix this issue but gave up as his changed all new fuel lines and filter and put a new battery on but I noticed his put on a small 75ohm when thes should take a 100ohm or amp battery , seams funny it passed mot feeling so unsafe at 70-80mph with no advisarys so all the mounts and rubbers must be ok! Weird ...how can I check if turbo is blown as I feel no lag or boost of power at all unlike other turbo diesel I've owned!!

I think the best advice is not to drive it but take it to a garage and get it fixed
