Weistec 722.9 Valve Body and TCU Upgrade - 722.9 Transmission - 2008-2011 (W204 / M156) - C 63 - C - Products
Well after some humming and Harring a finally took the plunge and I have had the valve body and TCU upgraded on the C63. (Sent to Weistec in California)
Was it worth it………oh yes….i am quite surprised how much difference it has made, and it now shifts quite a bit quicker and very noticeable in “S” especially 3rd to 4th.
In manual mode it is much quicker and drops down a lot quicker and precisely…I used to find it very slow trying to drop 2 gears whereas now 2 flicks of the paddles and boom you are off.
My original train of thought was it would help preserve the life of the gearbox, seeing I am pumping 600 ft/lb of torque through there and was a “recommendation” when I originally upgraded the Supercharger from stage 1 to Stage 2.
Would I recommend it……..yeah if you have the money and can be without the car for 10 days (time to remove, send to Weistec and then receive and refit then I would definitely recommend getting it done or thinking about it at least.
So a big thank you to Acid at MSL for answering the many questions I had about this mod, and another big thank you to Stan (who also did my headbolt to studs upgrade) of Stans Autos in South Shields (Although I am sure he just keeps doing these jobs on mine before he decides if he will do the same on his Weistec Superchaged S63)
