What a waste of car on a poor driver........

Angela drives my car at a snails pace, thats just the way she drives whatever car she is in. It sends other drivers mad she rigourously keeps to the speed limit and takes ages and ages to overtake.
On the one hand I love the way she drives as I know she is so carefull but on the other if I am a passenger or following someone like her it would wind me up terribly.
But I have to admit she is the safer driver, I take more risks.
The other day coming home on the dual carriageway 65mph overtakes lorry doing 55 ish she pulls out nothing behind for 1/2 mile and overtakes, it takes about 2-3 mins to overtake yet before she gets halfway past 2-3 cars are very close behind, you can see them in the mirror not even 10 yds at 70mph!!!! if it were me at the wheel foot down GONE, not Angela pulls in safeley after overtaking then as the other cars come by she gets the dirty "why you holding us up look".
Its sad that we all have to rush about these days. Me too but I try and keep more distance and not pressure slower drivers especially after seeing Angela drive. We are all unique and that includes the way we drive.
:) :)

mw C32 - Choosing to drive/overtake slowly on a dual carriage way is down to choice, although perhaps annoying for others. Have you ever been in the car with your wife and asked her to boot it so she is aware of the car she drives? Put her in the same scenario as I described, assuming the oncoming car is the only element misjudged, would she use the cars ability to finish the overtake as full clout and therefore safely?

We have to be thankful not everyone drives too fast, but it was the oncoming car and I'll still go slow bit that got me!

There can't be many T203 C32's in the country. I am still waiting for someone to own up! LOL

No, no I don't want to ever see them!!! Just was waiting for a.."hey hang on a minute...that was my wife!" kind of reply!

I have to admit that my wife drives my cars like someone due for a pension. My fault as I keep telling her to drive carefully and not take risks. I would hate her to have an accident and get hurt. So maybe this woman has a similar husband who is constantly berating her for driving fast.

oops....

:o :o :o :o

Just thought of another explanation.......the driver may have not seen the car coming the other way.

God knows what I was up to, but made the same error this morning. Worst panic I've ever had behind the wheel! Nearly killed myself!

Drastic action indeed. Appologies to the classic mini driver coming the other way I nearly tried to drive through :o

ooops indeed - but hands up anybody who's never done the same thing:( . Mmmmmmmmmm similar response rate to the men able to stand up after watching Kylie's Agent provocateur vid:D

At least you managed to avoid a nasty accident.

Her AMG has the ability to accelerate extremely fast and reduce the risk factor involved in an overtaking manouvre. Instead, the mustn't use full throttle mentality was obviously in place. The dealer must have had a chuckle selling the car to this one. Perhaps the AMG driving day isn't basic enough to cover kickdown!

As I've mentioned once or twice :o I've recently bought a C32 estate and the accelerating ability is quite incredible! Autocar's testers timed a C32 saloon at 4.6 seconds for 0-60mph, 10.8 for 0-100mph and only 3.9 seconds for the all important 30-70mph overtaking comparison.

And it wasn't my missus, by the way - we don't live in Oxfordshire, our estate is black and - more importantly - I won't let her drive it!!! :D ;)
