What are our thoughts on this?

Deffo a marmite car.

For reseale I'd stick with silver or black.

For me personally, silver for purely practical resaons - it hides the dirt better than the only two other colours I like - black and gunmetal.

I think the colour is pretty cool. Makes you wonder why more aren't ordered in designo custom colours - I think it only normally adds a couple of grand to the cost?

Certainly makes for a more unique car and I am sure there are some stunning colours if you had a bit of imagination. Would certainly stand out a lot more than the usual Mercedes pallate!

P.S. are you aware the Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 has the same engine, albeit with slightly less power (330BHP)? With the news that Chrysler are withdrawing from the UK market, prices of those are going to be on their ar*e in a month or so..

But the interior of the crossfire vs the slk interior (both R170 and R171) is REALLY plasticky and everything feels likt it'll come off in your hand!

I didn't say it was any good.. ;) but it's not slow & the residuals are only going one way! Cheapy McCheap..

Cheers,

Gazz
