I see cars advertised as '03 facelift' models for the W215 CL-series. I know the sat nav was upgraded to wide screen but can anyone tell me what other changes constitute a 'facelift'. I am trying to buy one of these models at the moment and want to understand what the changes were and how to tell one form the other.

Alss if anyone knows for an Obsidian Black CL, preferably with light coloured trim, KeylessGo and TV, then please do get in touch.

Easy one to spot is the 'Clear' headlights...

It had a updated/improved interior & tweaked ABC system

As well as clear wing mirror indicators and Maybach style rear light clusters, plus new seats, centre console and then towards 2004 the 7-speed gearbox

Exterior wise the front headlamps were clear glass and the rear lenses had 2/3 white stripes running across them.

Thanks for everyone's replies, very helpful.

Can anyone now tell me the differences between the 02 CL600 and the 03 CL600. Obviously the lights and interior changes mentioned above, but what about mechanical changes?

The difference is the addition of twin turbo's to the CL600 (I thought it came in 2004 mind) giving it 500bhp.

You might want to double check though, as I didn't think this was changed until 2004, but I guess some late 2003 cars may have this.

If the car has the new rear lights and seats/dash, then it will certainly have the new 500bhp V12 engine, which can easily be chipped to 580bhp ish. :D
