What do you miss on your car

JSWMBO = Daughter
SWMBO = Wife or female partner

PITA = both

I miss my 270bhp, mountains of torque and the rumble of a flat-four...

That said, I don't miss 19mpg on super-unleaded.

I miss the hatchback, I don't want an estate but why don't MB do hatch versions.

I miss the supercharger whine, replaced with V8 rumble.

I suppose the only way forward is to combine the two? ;)

if you need some help with that I can help. ;)

There's something I miss from most of my cars:

Rover 75 V6 - holding 7200 rpm in top until the fuel light came on on the autobahn
Volvo S40 - London and back (440 miles) on 50 litres of petrol!
Volvo S60 - The surprise on the faces of people who's cars have 155 limiters
E270 - Residual heater and brake hold

I miss having a wheel at each corner for tight manoeuvring and having a hatch and fold flat seats.

But there's an awful lot I don't miss.

You kept that Austin Maxi for a while, didn't you?

I miss front fog lights, rain sensing wipers, 6 cd changer,...all fitted, just not working.:(:(

the missus would swap my mb for another 850 volvo anytime,i told her all mb,s have heated seats

Had a Volvo C70 T5, definitely DON'T miss the turning circle of an oil tanker:D

Bump!

It being short and narrow enough to park in any normal bay...

I miss reliability and 5g and cloth seats.

Reliability, its under rated. 7g isn't IMHO as good and to be honest, I don't care for leather seats.

I do enjoy the additional 80bhp and 100ft'lb torque and the sports trim.

Would you be happier in a W123 200D?

One hell of a mad project would be to put an old 70s diesel engine (an OM617 or something) in a W140 LWB. IIRC W123s were quite heavy, so the W140 shouldn't strain the engine too much

Too slow and not enough convince functionality. I am not hands on enough to do the sort of niggling jobs an "older" car needs. A 124 or 210 is that bit fresher and more modern to drive. I could smoke around in a 124 quite the thing...

An auto gearbox....

Best real world option. Apart from shopping trolleys an autobox is wonderful. I in the C class upwards wouldn't enterain a manual.

I was joking about the 200D - meant to be one of the slowest cars made, too slow to be sold in the UK, but an OM617 in a modern car would be interesting (screw emissions laws!)

radar cruise and heated steering wheel from my last car. sadly not a W124 option :mad:

I have the Sony XRC-900RDS in two of my cars , and also have a spare CDX-910 , all of which have that feature .

A pair of excellent radios! (Ive had both sets and they were great)

I miss the ability to plug my iPod in!

The W203 is gonna be a PITA to fit my Blaupunkt New York into
