What Factory options don't you use on your car ?

I just had 4 new kumho ku39s fitted last week. They are a vast improvement on the previous tyres I had fitted but the rears will go if pushed. I put it down to the huge surge of torque my tuning box delivers.

Tyres take a little time to lose the shiny surface.

Good thread. Bar automatic transmission, parking sensors and window tints mine is standard.

I use everything it has but want for nothing more. Climate control, speed tronic / cc is useful but lean towards speed tronic. The trip computer is standard.

Hearted seats would be nice even in a cloth car.

If new I'd add parktronic, tints and automatic gears which brings speed tronic and heated seats and a sunroof maybe.

But the car as is is fine. It had everything I need and want and nothing surplus to requirement. After an S class a car that's relatively simple but not basic is a pleasure.

Remote roof open/close on the SLK. Headlamp washers.

Perhaps not for ash, but surely you put something in it?

I would add that I have never used the cigarette lighter, but the socket is used almost every journey!

Don't use the following:

Wipers
Headlight washers
Windscreen washers
Seat controls (as I am the only one who drives it) apart from the bolsters inflators, which I inflate upon start-up and deflate when turning it off.
Passengers seat controls, as I don't have passengers.
Rear window de-mister
Rear headrest drop button (apart from when cleaning the inside of the rear window now and again)
Heated seat switches
First aid kit
Cruise control
Auto-headlight switch (I like to turn things on and off myself)
Automatic transmission modes (apart from "C" until the drivetrain is warm)
Brakes (lol.. I hardly squeeze them at all)
Radio
Ashtrays
Rear seats
Boot (maybe just to lay a jacket down now and again)
Unlock/lock button on the dash
Anti-tow alarm button
Warning triangle in the boot (removed to save weight. lol)
Tyre inflator (removed to save weight. lol)
Jack (removed to save weight. lol)
Manual wing mirror fold-in buttons
Charcoal filter button on the thermotronic
Blower vent strength dials (all set on full)
Blower direction adjust handles (all set to a symmentrical direct)
Folding rear seat handles

There are probably other things....

But I do use everything now and again just to get them moving/ test them :)

You have used the front bumper recently though. :)

Only tried the remote closure of windows and sunroof once to check that it works. Not used the headlamp washers because I've yet to go on a long run at night on filthy roads.
Not used cup storage in the back - too far to reach back for my beer can.

Short wave band on the radio. (What is available on short wave?)

The mirror in the sunvisor

Haven't used the rear facing seats in the boot yet as our kids are still too young. Think they will come in handy in a year or so though.

Up to last weekend I had also never used the heater :-)

Havent used the following
-Rear heated seats - as the kids are in booster seats still
-Rear Ashtrays - keep knocking them open but never used
- Digital TV - i upgraded it from analogue but tbh i have never used it!

tbh, i used most of the other toys in the car
