I recently wrote to DCUK to ask that they formally recognise the efforts of the Service Advisor that looks after me at our local dealer, and sent copies to the MD of the dealer group, and the Service Manager.

I was pleased to hear that he was given vouchers the next day by his local management team, and then last week he was presented with a bottle of champagne at an awards bash in Stuttgart!! All because of my letter.

Get's better though as I received an MB branded two piece Carbon pen set in the post this morning, to thank me for writing!!

Dealer price is £35 so a nice touch I thought. I'm feeling all warm about MB again now, so I'll put the bad thoughts about Phaetons and Cayennes out of my mind for a while!! Now where's that R-Class brochure??...

Well done. Just as I always comment on poor service, I too always make sure the right people hear about good service.
 
Thanks Folks. It was a bit of a result. I was glad to hear that his management team had done something - the Stuttgart thing and pens for me were cherries on the top!!

He's a good lad though, and I've heard on several occasions how some other customers treat him and other members of the team there - rude in fact. And that's just when I happen to have been in earshot. Nonetheless he continues to be pleasant and efficient with them, and then with me.

Do the miserable people in this world not realise that people that they deal with - MB Service Advisors included - will go the extra mile if you're pleasant? Seems MBUK do too!!

PS My wife has already snaffled the pens for herself!! I'm already planning a covert strike to retrive them!!
