What non-MB cars would you "secretly" like to own ?

This is my one Ted
NOT a cabriolet but a beautiful waft...
I actually prefer the saloon as I think the cabriolet looses a bit of its desireable shape...

Definatly the Mk1 Lotus Cortina, A friend of mine had one I loved it the sound the smell (he used R1 oil ) This is one of the ten commandments I failed on You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor his Lotus Cortina or anything that is your neighbor’s.” :D

Hello All

The only Mercedes cars that I've ever owned have all been w126 models so it doesn't take much to work out that I'm madly in love with them. However I must confess that I would love to also own a Porsche Panamera, what non-MB cars would you secretly like to have in your garage amongst all your MBs ?;)

After a W126 , what else is worth having ? :D

Actually , I have owned lots of Mercs over the years and they all have a lot to commend them .

Besides Mercs , I have at times owned numerous VW's and Audis - I'd be happy to own pretty much anything aircooled or any early Audi .

Nissan GT-R.

Everytime i see a Fast and Furious film it makes me think i should have bought a GT-R instead of the C63 AMG, but cant beat the AMG sound!

GTR is stupidly quick but it really does feel like driving a playstation. Every corner you take and every time you poke it you get the sensation that the car is holding it all together for you. I know the C63 flatters the driver as well (in ESP Sport mode) but there is a lot more drama there. Really makes you feel like a hero!!!

After driving it we all decided that for the money, we'd all have a C63 coupe with a performance pack (and youd still save £10k!!!)

Didn't notice Ted's Castle Bridge picture earlier on my tiny phone screen. I miss that view since we moved south - especially in the snow. Worked there (not at the Castle) from 1995 to 2003 and lived there (also not at the Castle) from 1998 to 2010; both children name it as their birthplace, so a big piece of my life belongs to Warwick.

Sniff. Come over all nostalgic now. :o

Are you secretly from Essex Mr T? :)

My Dad came from Willesden in the Sub District of Harlesden - neck of the woods does that count?

I thought I'd go back for a visit there one day but a Londoner warned me off saying. "They've all got bleedin' shooters dahn there mate" So I gave it a miss.

For the Citroen afficionadoes, one of the presidential Chapron four door SM convertibles is going to be on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

I shall certainly be snapping away!

So somewhere between Essex and Lancashire - so we'll compromise on Cheshire then..
