Hi all,
I'm new and have been looking at buying a 2003 E270 cdi Avantgarde.
From looking through the forum, I know the following to look out for:
1. Radiator fluid leaking into the auto tranny. Due to radiator build quality or design. Pre-Sept 2003 W211.
2. Airmatic Pump failure.
3. MAF faults and failure.
4. Injector and Fuel pump failure.
I have looked over the above possible trouble spots on this car I plan to purchase, and it has all passed.
I would like to know if changing the fuel filter regularly would prevent injector and fuel pump failure?
How long does the Airmatic DC units last? Does the failure happen on the Airmatic Struts or most on the pump?
Would I be better of looking for a W210 E270 CDI?
Thanks in advance.
